Last Friday Rosedene Nurseries held an open day alongside Kader Academy in which Rosedene's nursery is situated. Rosedene provided characters from Paw Patrol who met the children coming to look around and were also on hand to do face painting. After playing games and taking part in lots of activities the Rosedene Nursery cup cakes went down a treat. Collectively Rosedene Nurseries settings raised over £820 for charity on Friday last week. Staff and children took part in an array of activities from cake sales, fancy dress and various sport and educational activities. Not only did Friday raise funds for well needed causes that Comic Relief supports, staff and children were able to learn about people in less fortunate positions than themselves. Rosedene at Kader started a focus on Science last week. We looked at colour mixing first, using bubble wrap and paint. Next we used pipettes and test tubes and the children chose a colour to make and the colours they thought would make that colour. The children put their final colours on cotton pads for us all to discuss. Children and Staff at various Rosedene Nursery settings enjoyed a range of activities on World Book Day. Rosedene at Saltburn dressed up and made characters out of playdough. Durham Lane dressed up and made book related items.
