As you may be aware the Government is committed to delivering on its manifesto to extend the current universal funded childcare entitlement for three and four-year-olds from 15 to 30 hours per week for eligible working parents. This will be made available across the country from September 2017.

Rosedene Nurseries are delighted to be able to offer this extended free childcare in all settings (with the exception of Easterside Hub and Northallerton Out Of School Club) from September 2017 (sessions subject to availability).

To check your eligibility either click on the childcare cost calculators below or download this simple 30 hour funding entitlement checklist.

For a quick and simple childcare funding check for any government childcare funding, including the 30 hours, head over the Childcare Choices website:

Ready to apply?

Here's the link to the Goverment application page:

Click through to option '4 Apply or sign in to the childcare service as a parent' and follow the process.

Applying should take about 20 minutes and you will require the following information for both you and your partner, if you have one:

  • your National Insurance number

  • if you're self-employed, your Unique Taxpayer Reference

  • the date you started, or are due to start work

  • details of any other government support you get

Once your application for the extended care is confirmed you will be sent an email issuing an 11 digit code beginning '500' which you will need to bring to us to register along with your national insurance number and your child’s name and date of birth (the existing universal 15 hours care does not need to be applied for). This email may take up to 15 days to arrive. We then need to verify this code BEFORE the 31st August 2017, no places can be allocated until codes are verified by the local authority. See a list of phone number's of participating nursery settings to arrange a visit and to submit your code.

Can't find your code?

Click on the link above and follow through to option '4', sign in. You will then need to enter some information about your youngest child's age before signing in with your Government Gateway ID, received when you applied.

Once in either click on "30 hours free childcare - View your 30 hours free childcare codes" or "Secure messages - View messages about your application and account" to find your code. The code usually starts with '500'. A small number of parents will have a temporary code starting '11' which will have been given on the phone and followed up with a letter from HMRC.

Still struggling?

Call the Childcare Service Helpline on 0300 123 4097.

Got your code, what next?

You've applied, received your code and your interested in taking a place with Rosedene, all you need to do is call your nursery manager, see list below, to discuss your preferred sessions and allocation of hours. Hours will be offered on a first come, first served basis . Your nursery manager will advise you on available sessions.

In order to meet deadline requirements each local authority has a closure date for funding applications for Autumn term 2017. Please ensure we receive your code for verification BEFORE 31st August 2017 so that we can endeavor to meet your childcare needs.
