Forest School is an integral part of life at Rosedene. Our Forest School sessions aim to encourage children to engage with their natural learning environment, by providing a unique approach to learning that creates a safe space to develop key skills.
Rosedene Nurseries has developed its Forest School to engage the children with their natural environment, while developing their social, emotional and physical wellbeing. Rosedene's highly-trained Forest School leaders ensure that children have the opportunity, freedom, time and space to explore and lead their own learning, which allows them to gain confidence.
Rosedene’s Forest School provides children with various stimuli, built around their interests. From painting with mud and flowers to cooking, den-making and building with resources found in the forest the experience allows children to lead their own learning while teaching them resilience and risk assessment.
Wellbeing is at the forefront of everything that we do, and the Forest School programme helps to develop a child’s social, emotional and physical needs through nature exploration.
Immersing our Rosedene children in the Forest School environment provides them with a different approach to learning that aids their development and encourages them to respect their natural world in the future!
