Childcare Funding Changes: What You Need To Know

Who's ready for the exciting 2024 childcare funding expansion....

Earlier this year, the government announced revolutionary changes to the childcare funding system that will benefit many families across the country. The first wave of these changes will come into effect in April 2024 and will see an increase in the amount of funding available for children aged 2, to assist families to help cover the cost of childcare.

By September 2025, working parents of children under 5 will receive an amazing 30 hours funded by the government per week. These changes ensure earlier access and support for you and your little ones, paving the way for a brighter future.

At Rosedene Nurseries, we understand that navigating the childcare funding system can be confusing and overwhelming, which is why we are committed to supporting families every step of the way. Our knowledgeable teams across Teesside and North Yorkshire are always on hand to answer any questions and provide guidance to help families access the funding they are entitled to.

In addition, we offer a range of flexible options to suit different family needs and budgets, including full and part-time education, as well as term-time only and holiday care. This means that families can choose the option that works best for them, while still being able to access the funding they are entitled to.

Our Managing Director, Alice McCullagh shared her thoughts,

“It’s fantastic that the government have finally listened to the sectors proposals on the expansion of funding. Rosedene played an integral part of challenging the governments childcare policy in 2021. This is a huge leap forward for the sector to support parents. However, the government needs to ensure it provides an adequate amount of funding to providers to cover the costs of the childcare. The sector continues to struggle, with many nurseries across the UK closing due to the shortfall of funding from the government. Looking forward to 2024, Rosedene are delighted to be able to offer funded places to parents. We already have waitlists for April and September 2024, so we encourage parents to secure your place now before these places are full.”

We ensure that every child receives high-quality care and education, regardless of their family's financial situation. We provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. We are proud to be a part of the solution to the childcare funding challenges facing families in the UK, and we look forward to continuing to support families in our community.

If you're looking for a nursery place for your child from April 2024, our waiting lists are now open, just email booking@rosedenenurseries.co.uk
