Reflecting on 2024: The Most Popular Names at Rosedene Nurseries!

The National Statistics Office released the most popular 2024 baby names in England & Wales at the end of last year. With the top baby boy name being Muhammad, followed by Noah and Oliver. For the baby girls, Olivia remained the most popular baby girl name, followed by Amelia and Isla.

As Rosedene step into the New Year, we thought it would be interesting to see the trends that unfold in our nurseries across Northallerton, Teesside and Redcar & Cleveland.  We couldn’t resist sharing our very own top Rosedene baby names! So, let’s dive into the top names of 2024 at Rosedene Nurseries.

Top 5 Girls’ Names at Rosedene Nurseries in 2024

1. Ivy – Little Ivys were blooming all year long! Whether it’s the name’s botanical charm or its short-and-sweet appeal, Ivy was a firm favourite among our families.

2. Amelia – With its timeless elegance, it’s no surprise Amelia soared near the top. We’ve had plenty of Amelias ready to take flight (and a few who prefer to stick firmly to the ground during nap time).

3. Elsie – Sweet and classic, Elsie brought plenty of giggles to our playrooms.

4. Lily – Another floral favourite, Lilys graced our nurseries with kindness and laughter. The name might be delicate, but these little ones are always up for a muddy puddle adventure!

5. Isabella – Sophisticated and surprisingly adventurous, our Isabellas kept us on our toes.

Top 5 Boys’ Names at Rosedene Nurseries in 2024

1. George – A true classic, the Georges at Rosedene were as charming as they were adventurous. (We may have spotted a few crowns in the dress-up corner!)

2. Arthur – Our Arthurs certainly lived up to their knightly name, with plenty of courageous quests to the sandpit and the “castle” (aka the climbing frame).

3. Isaac – With a name meaning “laughter,” Isaacs brought joy to every room they entered. Bonus points for their impressive block tower-building skills!

4. Leo – Short, strong, and full of energy, our Leos roared their way through the year. They might be little, but they’re fierce (about snack time, at least).

5. Henry – Steady, kind, and always curious, the Henrys at Rosedene were the perfect companions for exploring our outdoor play areas.
