Rosedene Stokesley Forest School Nursery and Rosedene Redcar Children's Nursery opened their doors to welcome families to explore our brand-new facilities. It was amazing to host over 180 children, parents, and grandparents, who joined us for a day filled with adventure, creativity, and building new relationships.

Families at Stokesley were the first to experience our new Forest School Nursery, exploring an outdoor learning environment designed to give children unique, hands-on experiences in nature. Little explorers collected stamps in their personalised Forest School Passports, mixed up magical potions, created their own ice cream treats, and ended the day with songs and laughter around the campfire.

“We’ve visited Forest School nurseries in the past, but nothing comes close to these facilities and outdoor environment. It’s like nothing we’ve ever seen before!” explained one parent.

At Redcar, the local community toured the nursery, met our passionate team, took part in a dance session with Little Movers, and experienced the coastal-inspired learning environments that play a part in our high-quality early years curriculum.

Alice Haslam,  Rosedene Nurseries Director, said:“It was fantastic to see children so engaged in nature and families enjoying the activities we had planned. Both Open Days gave everyone a real sense of the welcoming, high-quality learning environments we create, and we can’t wait to welcome our new children in September.”

The open days were a great opportunity for families to connect with our dedicated teams and understand more about Rosedene’s unique curriculum. Building these relationships early helps children feel confident and comfortable as they begin their Rosedene journey.

Thank you to everyone who joined these open days. We look forward to welcoming our new families this term to begin their early years education journey with us. Both nurseries offer the new 30-hour government-funded childcare for children from 9 months to 4 years, preparing them for their school transition. We’ll be holding our next Open Days during October half-term.
