We’re delighted to announce that Rosedene Stokesley, our brand-new Forest School nursery, will open its doors on 1st September 2025 - right in the heart of Stokesley Business Park!

Serving families in Stokesley, Great Ayton, Hutton Rudby and surrounding communities, our new nursery will offer 100 places for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years, alongside out-of-school and holiday clubs for children up to 11.

A Nature-Based Learning Environment

At Rosedene, we know children thrive outdoors. That’s why our Stokesley setting has been designed as a Forest School nursery, complete with purpose-built outdoor learning spaces, eco-friendly facilities, and a curriculum centred around curiosity, resilience, and nature-based play.

Our Forest School programme is a unique child-led initiative that immerses children in the beauty and wonder of the natural world. Guided by qualified Forest School leaders, the programme offers regular opportunities for children to connect with nature in a safe and supportive environment. Through hands-on experiences such as den-building, nature trails, bushcraft activities, and seasonal exploration, children are encouraged to take supported risks, solve problems, and think creatively.

The programme is carefully designed to encourage emotional well-being, build resilience, and develop a deep, lasting respect for the environment. By giving our children the freedom to explore, question, and interact with the natural world, we empower them to develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our approach aligns with our core values of sustainability, curiosity, and child-centred learning. Through Forest School, we support each child’s unique journey, helping them to grow into capable, compassionate individuals who are ready to take on the world

A Hub for Learning and Care

As well as providing exceptional early years education, Rosedene Stokesley will also serve as the Head Office and training hub for our 12 nurseries across the North East. This new space reflects our strong commitment to continually developing our teams and enhancing our practice, ensuring that every child benefits from the very best care and education.

Managing Director Alice Haslam says:“We’re so excited to bring our Forest School ethos to Stokesley. This new setting will give children a calm, nature-connected space to thrive — while supporting local families with much-needed childcare places.”
