ROSEDENE'S LITTLE STARS SUPPORT MUMMYS STAR CHARITY AS PART OF OUR CHRISTMAS COMMUNITY FUN!

This year is going to be Rosedene's most festive December ever! We have packed agenda of festive fun including 12 days of Christmas, Elf Day, Christmas Breakfast, Mummy's Star week, Food Hamper delivery, virtual Santa, Polar Bear express and so much more!

Throughout December, Rosedene’s little stars will be trying to raise more than £1300 for Mummy’s Stars through star-themed challenges. Events ranging from baking star biscuits, to sponsored star walks across the nurseries for children and parents.

The children will also be delivering the food hampers to those most in need, with donations from parents and Rosedene. The children who attend the Hardwick will be visiting the local Butterwick Hospice to spread festive cheer.

Mummy’s Star is the only charity in the UK and Ireland committed to helping women diagnosed with cancer during pregnancy or within twelve months of giving birth. The charity was founded by Pete Wallorth in 2013 in memory of his wife, Mair. When Mair was 22 weeks pregnant with her second child, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went through seven rounds of chemotherapy, and gave birth to a baby boy, before being diagnosed again with metastatic breast cancer and passing away a few days later. Pete was very grateful for the excellent care his family had received and started Mummy’s Star to help families in similar situations.

Pete Wallroth, founder and CEO of Mummy’s Star said: “Teaming up with Rosedene Nurseries provides so many opportunities and we are delighted to have their support. From helping to raise awareness of what our families go through and what can help, fundraising and providing childcare to some of our families, many of whom live within the catchment areas of the Rosedene settings, it makes a big difference to what we’re doing at Mummy’s Star."
